After leaving Manila, we headed to Mindanao island to visit our friends in Davao city.
This island is pretty unique in terms of its religious back ground.
The main religion in the philippines is Catholic but Mindanao has separatist Muslim groups such as MILF(Moro Islamic Liberation Front) .
It seems that they still have acts of terrorism and I hoped nothing wrong would happen.
It's time for Christmas and everyone must be happy, right ?
Oh wait CHRISTMAS.

Don't worry. We had a peaceful christmas with some guys shouting U2 and Bon Jovi songs with Karaoke machine till 3 am.
Koto was shouting too because of the beautiful noise. With tears.
What a silent night. Holy Karaoke night.

It takes bout 1 hour 30 mins to get to Davao from Manila.

マニラよりミンダナオ島のダバオへ移動。ちょうどクリスマス。
フィリピンのクリスマスはすさまじい。とにかくカラオケで深夜、場合によっては朝まで
老若男女歌いまくる。夜中に、ボンジョヴィの熱唱を聴いたときには、ここまで熱いファンがいるのか、Big in Japanだけじゃないんだなフムフムと思っていたが、小都が「寝れねーよー」と泣きわめいている横でボンジョヴィを憎むようになってしまいました。
きくと、フィリピンではberのつく月はクリスマス月間だそうで、８月からクリスマスモードに入るらしいです。カラオケフィーバーもそれに伴って出てくるようで、カラオケマシーンレンタル業も盛んになるらしい。とにかく、お祭りなんだな。
